2015 Castle Educational Home Tour Participant

These homeowners purchased their dated 1941 home for the phenomenal location and knowing they planned to remodel extensively. The home had seen some questionable remodeling in the past (ask the designer about the windows!), so Castle was brought in for design & construction on what became a whole-home remodel & energy retrofit, with special focus on environmental sensitivity to reduce the remodel’s impact. In addition to a dramatically improved main floor & reworked upper level master suite, the project included a brand new kitchen & master bath, whole-house triple pane window package, spray-foam insulation throughout, beautiful durable finishes, many of which were salvaged & meticulously repurposed, & an incredible energy-efficient European skylight that you just have to see.
