Special Projects Team

Formerly known as handyman services or small projects, a special project is anything we can do with our in house tradesmen that doesn’t fit in to our normal design build process or large project team. The special projects team truly covers a wide gamut of projects. Below we touch base on the projects we are most often hired for, as well as projects that just aren’t a right fit. If it is not something we can handle, chances are we’ll have a suggestion on how you can approach it, or a referral for someone that does.

The best first step is to schedule a quick call to discuss your project.

Below you’ll see the general best fits and not so great fits for our team. Don’t see something mentioned? Chances are we can do it.  Schedule a quick call to discuss your project or email the details and photos to Johnw@castlebri.com.

Best fit – When hiring Castle Building & Remodeling for your special project needs, we truly shine in the following categories: Decks, covered entries, porches, screen porches, three-season porches, porch remodels to four season rooms, windows, doors/storm doors, carpentry projects, exterior trim, rot repair, drywall, demolition, framing, interior doors and trim, painting, and tile. These projects include kitchen and bathroom modifications.  Our Design Team can help you plan almost any size of project using our industry leading neighborhood design studios.  We have some of the most skilled craftsmen anywhere in these disciplines on staff and they’re more than qualified to tackle these jobs for you.

Not a fit for our special projects team – Projects that involve only a single trade like concrete, siding, roofing, flooring, and countertops.  Additionally, our specialty isn’t insurance restoration work, emergencies, or design only projects.  We also do not handle projects that only include plumbing, electrical, or HVAC.

Small Projects Process

Your first step is to schedule a call to discuss your project. Please include as much information as you can concerning your project. During our call we will review your request and determine whether or not it is a good fit and scheduled an initial visit to your home.

Consultation and Site Visit

During the scheduled home visit we will discuss the project(s) with you, take photographs as needed, and measurements. Once the site visit is complete, our Special Projects Team will work on a proposal for your review. Proposals & bids can take up to two full business weeks before they are sent out for review.

If the proposal looks good there is a small design fee and design process.  This is where material selections, paint colors, and other job details are finalized.

Production

Once the proposal has been accepted and a contract has been signed, our Special Projects Team will assign a Project Manager. Your PM will coordinate schedules and get the project lined up for production. Project start dates are typically 6-10 weeks out from when the proposal and signed contracts have been received.

Project Completion

Upon completion of your project, you will be asked to complete a Google review of your experience working with our team.
